Additional information / FAQ

(Answers which might or might not offend you)

RSVP // Can I RSVP on this website?

No, this website does not accept RSVPs.  Please return the RSVP card from your invitation or email Randy or Julie.  Our E-Addresses are Julie at Needhams.us and Rando at Needhams.us

Or, send a note to our home address:   104 E Cedar Street, Livingston, NJ 07039.

What should I wear?

This is a formal, morning event.

Julie and Randy will wear (again) their wedding finery.

The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all indoors.

Bring your dancing shoes!

No, really, what should I wear?

For men: A suit is a good choice.  If you want to go wild with formal clothing, a morning coat or the traditional formal wear of your ancestors (kilt? Nigerian wedding suit?) would be fun.  If you want to be pedantic -- and who wouldn't? -- a tuxedo is not appropriate since this event takes place before 6PM.

For women:  Shoes you can dance in. Not a white wedding dress or a black funeral outfit. Other than that, you're on your own.

In our backyard / basement:  Jeans, or whatever is comfy.

Is there a theme to the wedding?

Yes: ballroom dancing, which Randy and Julie have been doing together for many years.  In addition to the traditional "first" dance (for Randy and Julie) and the usual wedding-type dancing (for all), there will be some dancing activities led by ballroom dancing professionals.  Please do come with dance-friendly footwear and a willingness to get up and dance.

What beverages will served?

Mimosas will be served during the cocktail hour.

Beer, wine and soda will be served during the reception, along with a champagne toast.

What are the after-party details?  Is it optional?

Yes it is optional!!  For those for whom it is a delightful treat to socialize in Julie and Randy's basement rec room, and mostly-dog-poop-cleared back yard, entertained by conversation and fed by take-out Chinese food, pizza, and wedding leftovers -- this is for you!  Optimal attire is jeans and a sweatshirt, but allowances will be made for those who retain their wedding finery.

Um, the after-party sounds "delightful".  Will anyone be offended if we don't come?

Not at all!  If you are asking this question, then the answer is:  thank you so much for sharing our renewal of vows and reception; it was an honor and a privilege to share our celebration day with you.  Now please go home (travel gently!)

If you want to burglarize our home while we are getting married:

Don't bother, the house will have a house-sitter.

Sunday festivities?

For those who didn't have enough fun on Saturday, Sunday activities will include breakfast with Julie and Randy at the Holiday Inn.
